Five medals won by Pakistani military forces in International Military Games
Pakistan military forces won five medals in international military games. It was a brilliant victory for the tri-services team of the Pakistan Armed Forces, which fetched five medals in the 4th CISM International Military Sports Council, World Military Cadet Games. This historical tournament, held from August 16 to 22 in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, where military athletes gathered from all over the world.
In the process, the Pakistani squad performed better in the track as well as in the field, and shooting with excellent performances thus attracting pride to their nation. The Pakistan Air Force Chief Warrant Officer Mueed Baloch was the shines of performances after he scooped for himself another silver medal in the 200 meters besides his 400 meters gold win. He was spotlighted worldwide because of his incredible speed and steadfast.
Sepoy Muhammad Akhtar of the Pakistan Army turned up with superlative results in long-distant running events. His tenacity and steadfastness shone through as Mr. Akhtar secured a bronze medal in the 5,000 meters and silver in the grueling 10,000 meters.
The shooting events further testified to the success of the Pakistani team as, during the 25 meters pistol rapid shooting team event, Nk Qasim Bilal, Sepoy Ismail Khan, and Sepoy Muhammad Rashid of the Pakistan Army won a silver medal for their brilliant game. Specifically, their accurate shooting skills contributed largely to the overall win of Pakistan in these games.
Such successes by the tri-service team manifest the determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces to excel and add to their laurels of international standing; thus, Pakistan feels proud of their zeal, commitment, discipline, and hard work. They were an excellent testimony to the exceptional talent that successfully participated in the World Military Cadet Games.
