Karsaz murder case; investigation team formed
On August 19, Natasha’s high-speed vehicle lost control and collided with pedestrians on Karsaz Road. Tragically, a father and his daughter were killed in the accident, and four other individuals were injured. Natasha was promptly taken into police custody following the incident.
Witnesses reported that Natasha drove erratically, appearing out of control. After hitting the motorcyclists, she attempted to flee the scene but ended up crashing into another vehicle.
Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Inspector General of Sindh Police (IGP), has decided to form a special investigative team to investigate the Karsaz traffic accident case involving a female driver. The IGP stated that a senior superintendent of police (SSP) would work with the investigating team as they considered this to be a high-profile case.
it is reported that Natasha white SUV smashed into other multiple vehicles close to the Pakistan Maritime Museum, killing an elderly father and his daughter and injuring others. The deceased in the accident were identified as 26-year-old Aamna Arif and 60-year-old Imran Arif. Police stated one of the injured was in a critical situation. According to law enforcement officials, the female responsible for the accident had a head injury the JPMC performed a CT scan on her.
In FIR the suspect was identified as “Natasha” and was placed under judicial detention by Karachi court. In the earlier statement, she said that her car lost control and caused the collision as she was driving on a service road close to Karsaz. However, the sources said she kept altering her statements during the investigation.
A source detailed that Natasha’s medical reports are being delayed and it might take another two to three days. Blood samples from the suspect were sent to two distinct laboratories for further development in the investigation. The authorities also decided to send a sample to a laboratory in Lahore.
The investigation sources claimed that Section 320, which deals with “unintentional murder” was imposed, to change the accusations and to weaken the case. Nonetheless, Section 322 of murder had also been added to the case.
