Arshad Nadeem secures his way into finale
Pakistan’s star Arshad Nadeem paved his way into the finale of the Paris Olympics javelin throw. Nadeem made a sold 86.59m throw, exceeding the 84m minimum qualifying limit. Nadeem carried the throw in his first attempt and fixed his position for the final round where athletes will play for medals.
Nadeem previously won a silver medal at the World Championship, and a gold at the Commonwealth Games 2022 making history as the first Pakistani athlete to win gold at the competition since 1962.
Out of the seven athletes that Pakistan have sent, six have been out of their respective games. 27-year-old Nadeem is Pakistan’s last hope for scoring a medal.
