Imran Khan backs KP Chief Minister
In a surprising turn of events, PTI founder Imran Khan has come out in strong favour of Ali Amin Gandapur and criticized those who have distanced themselves from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister’s fiery speech at Islamabad rally on September 8.
Addressing media from Adiala jail during the £190 million corruption case, Khan announced he is ending dialogue with the establishment and charged them of deceiving the PTI.
Imran Khan endorsed Gandapur’s remarks about the media, women, and the establishment, describing them as a general reflection of public sentiment. Khan claimed that the KP chief minister was detained by the establishment after the Islamabad rally and warned of serious consequences for this action.
Gandapur’s remarks received serious backlash and harsh criticism from almost all areas, leading to apologies from party members such as Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Omar Ayub.
Imran Khan stated no member of PTI would negotiate with the establishment as they had failed in their commitment to honour the Sept 8 jalsa. Khan had previously revealed that the postponement of the August 22 rally was at the request of establishment.
He assured that PTI’s event on September 21 in Lahore would go ahead as planned and called on the judiciary to uphold the rule of law.
