Imran Khan directs to cancel PTI rally, says Gandapur

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, stated that PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, has ordered the cancellation of today’s public rally in Islamabad. “On the order of our leader, we have cancelled the PTI rally,” Gandapur declared.
The chief minister said, “PTI will now hold its public rally on September 8 in Islamabad, with permission granted by the government”.
He said the officials are rejecting the court order repeatedly by refusing to give permission. “Imran Khan has proven that this country and its nation are his priorities, and he does not want people to engage in any conflict,” he said.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had earlier announced the postponement of the Islamabad jalsa to be held in Tarnol today after the Islamabad administration revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The decision was taken in an intelligence committee meeting chaired by the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad. The district officials said that religious organizations have also given a call for demonstrations, and authorities cannot give permission for a public gathering under such circumstances.
