Karsaz Incident: Natasha husband gets bail

Danish Iqbal, Natasha’s husband and one of the suspects in the recent tragic Karsaz incident in Karachi has been granted protective bail by the Sindh High Court. Iqbal was given a seven-day bail and required to submit a 50,000-rupee surety bond.

Aamir Mansoob, Iqbal’s attorney, said there was a risk of his client being taken into custody thus, his client needed the protective bail. He emphasized that Iqbal was not involved in the incident and that Natasha, his wife, is imprisoned at the time.

Karsaz Incident

On August 19, Natasha white SUV smashed into other multiple vehicles close to the Pakistan Maritime Museum, killing an elderly father and his daughter and injuring others. The deceased in the accident were identified as 26-year-old Aamna Arif and 60-year-old Imran Arif. Police stated one of the injured was in a critical situation.

Witnesses reported that Natasha drove erratically, appearing out of control. After hitting the motorcyclists, she attempted to flee the scene but ended up crashing into another vehicle.

Natasha was promptly taken into police custody following the incident. Natasha was sent to jail on judicial remand by the City Court of Karachi on August 21.

Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Inspector General of Sindh Police (IGP), on August 23 decided to form a special investigative team to investigate the Karsaz traffic accident case. The IGP stated that a senior superintendent of police (SSP) would work with the investigating team as they considered this to be a high-profile case.
