alt=(Malaysian PM praises Pakistan Army's contribution to regional peace)On Friday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir held a meeting with Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who underscored the importance of strengthening military relations between the two nations, as reported by state-owned Radio Pakistan.

The Malaysian prime minister is in Islamabad for a three-day official visit aimed at revitalizing the strategic partnership between Malaysia and Pakistan.

During their meeting, the Malaysian premier emphasized that their is a need for enhancing bilateral ties, especially in military cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

He also commended the Pakistan Army for its “role in promoting regional peace and stability,” acknowledging their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Additionally, the prime minister also extended an invitation to General Asim Munir to visit Malaysia to which in return he expressed gratitude.

The chief appreciated the successful visit by the Malaysian leader to Pakistan. He further remarked that this visit would contribute to strengthening the longstanding and historic ties between the two countries and their respective militaries.

Prior to meeting with General Munir, the Malaysian prime minister also conferred with his Pakistani counterpart, where they committed to enhancing cooperation on a broad array of bilateral, regional, and international matters.
