PTI offers no space for deserters, says Imran Khan
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, has announced the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deserters’ policy. Khan stated that individuals who left the party during challenging times would not be welcomed back.
Speaking to journalists in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, the PTI founder emphasized, “I want to clearly state that there is no space for those who abandoned the party during difficult times.”
The PTI founder claimed that he is aware of those who abandoned the party during difficult times, but refrained from taking names. He stated, “There is no place for those who were involved in the party during the good times but left during the bad.”
However, the former premier assured that individuals who endured abuse and did not leave party during these challenging times, such as extortion and torture inflicted on their families, should not be concerned.

Previously, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that anyone who left the party during challenging times would never be accepted in the party again.
A resolution was passed during the PTI Core Committee meeting stating that former party members who left PTI under pressure were deemed irrelevant, and their opinions were dismissed, making it clear that such individuals would not be welcomed back into the party.
However, the party also made it clear that the ultimate decision regarding the former members will be made by Imran Khan only.
