Renowned scholar Dr. Zakir Naik arrives in Islamabad

Following an invitation from the government, Dr. Zakir Naik, a prominent religious scholar and public speaker, arrived in Pakistan on Monday.

His visit to Pakistan, which will last until October 28, includes public gatherings in several cities, leading Friday prayers, and meetings with senior government officials.

Dr. Naik announced his tour on social media, noting that his son, Shaikh Fariq Naik will also be accompanying him.

According to his schedule, he will speak in Karachi on October 5 and 6, then in Lahore on October 12 and 13, and will also hold public gatherings in Islamabad on October 19 and 20.

Upon his arrival, Dr. Naik was welcomed by Rana Mashhood, Chairman of the PM’s Youth Programme, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr. Syed Attaur Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Shamshir Ali Mazari, and other officials.

Dr. Zakir Naik has been residing in Malaysia for several years and holds permanent residency there, as he is wanted in India for alleged money laundering and inciting extremism, according to Hindustan Times.
