Security forces kill 4 khawarij trying to attack FC Headquarters
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday thar four suicide bombers were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohmand district when the security forces foiled a deadly attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters.
The ISPR said the armed militants were wiped out in early hours of Friday during their attempt to attack the FC Headquarters.
“The attempt to enter the camp was effectively thwarted by the security forces personnel, and resultantly the khawarij, all four suicide bombers, were sent to hell before they could cause the intended damage,” it stated.
According to the ISPR, a sanitization operation was carried out to eliminate any further terrorists that could be present in area.
The military’s media wing declared, “Pakistan security forces stand valiant, with the sheer determination and resolve, to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.”
In addition, five militants were also killed in a gunfight with security personnel at the Surkhab refugee camp in the Pishin area.
A spokesperson for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said on Saturday that there was an enormous storage of weapons and ammunition at the hideout of the killed terrorists.
Speaking at an event on Friday in honor of Defence Day at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif underlined how dedicated the government is in fight against terrorism and promised to keep up the current operation against Fitna-al-Khwarij until they were totally eliminated.
